How do I uninstall Lumin from my organization's Microsoft workspace?

Uninstalling the Lumin app from your Microsoft workspace can take up to 2 days to complete. Here's what you need to do to start the process.

Lumin PDF's integration with Microsoft enables users to effortlessly open and upload documents straight from the Microsoft application into Lumin.

To uninstall the Lumin app, you'll need:

  • a Microsoft account
  • you must be either a Cloud Application Administrator, Application Administrator, or owner of the service principal
  • the Lumin app added to your tenant

Follow these steps to remove an enterprise application using the Microsoft admin center:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as at least a Cloud Application Administrator.

  2. Browse to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > All applications.

  3. Enter 'Lumin' in the search box and select the application from the search results.

  4. In the Manage section of the left menu, select Properties.

  5. At the top of the Properties pane, select Delete, then select Yes to confirm you want to delete the application from your Microsoft Entra tenant.

FAQ's

Why was the Lumin app installed in my organization's Microsoft workspace?

By default, all users in your directory have the ability to register application objects they are developing and decide which applications they can share access to with organizational data through consent. When the first user in your directory signs in to an application and grants consent, a new service principal is created in your tenant. If subsequent users grant consent for the same application, the consent information will be linked to the existing service principal instead.

It's been two days and I am still seeing or getting reports that Lumin is available in my workspace.

It is possible that someone else in the organization recently installed or signed into Lumin using Microsoft SSO. This means that you will need to uninstall Lumin from Microsoft once again. Alternatively, please instruct users to clear their cache.

How do I configure my organization's user consent settings?

To configure user consent settings through the Microsoft Entra admin center:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a Privileged Role Administrator.

  2. Browse to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > Consent and permissions > User consent settings.

  3. Under User consent for applications, select which consent setting you want to configure for all users.

  4. Select Save to save your settings.
