How do I use the View controls?

The View controls change how a document is laid out on your screen and how a page transitions to another page.

  1. Open a document in Lumin PDF.

  2. Select the View controls option from the ribbon toolbar.

  3. The Page transition and Layout options appear.

Page Transition:

Page transition lets you choose how a document's pages transition when you scroll or pan to another page.

  • Page by page - when you scroll or pan down, the next page will suddenly replace the previous one

  • Continuous - the next page will become visible as you scroll or pan down to the bottom of a previous page

Layout:

Layout lets you change how a document is laid out on your screen.

  • Single - only one page is displayed at any time

  • Double - pages are displayed in pairs

  • Cover - the cover (first) page is displayed, scroll down to see the following pages

Other ways to move between pages:

Page Selector

This is always located at the bottom of the screen in a multi-page document.

You can use it to quickly navigate to the desired page. Additionally, you have the option to enter a specific page number to jump directly to that page.

Tip: You can choose to go to:

  • the next or previous page using the two middle buttons Screen Shot 2022-02-28 at 1.37.24 PM

  • the first or last page using the outer buttons Screen Shot 2022-02-28 at 1.37.48 PM

Pan:

Use the Pan tool to use your mouse (left-click) to manually move up and down a page and between pages.
