TIP: You can select the free text tool by pressing T on your keyboard.
Select the Free text option from the Popular or Annotate tool group on the left-hand side.
In the document, click where you'd like to insert the text.
Click the text box and add your text as required.
Modify your text using the toolbar that appears with the text box.

Tip: You can drag and drop the text to the other areas of the document.
